I am soooo excited to finally share my latest short film I directed, “The Assisted Stories Project: Nashville” featuring Dollye Matthews! This is a project that’s been a LONG time in the making. I first talked to the producer, Jerod, about this years ago, to the point where we were in pre-production right before the pandemic hit in 2020. After some time, we resumed and this short film made its premiere at the Sidewalk Film Festival. And now, it’s finally out online!

The story of Dollye and Bolton’s Spicy Chicken and Fish is truly amazing. The hot chicken scene in Nashville is world-famous and there’s so much to discover about its origins, namely how pretty much all of the O.G. hot chicken spots had essentially the same origins. The history of these restaurants contains the history of the city of Nashville itself.
